Dear valued members and guests,
Yesterday, I received reports about an unfortunate incident in the golf course that almost resulted in a brawl. To avoid the repetition of the same, I desire that the following players’ decorum be strictly observed within the premises of the golf course:
- Each member and guest shall abide by the rules of the game of golf. Any conflict, misunderstanding or differences between players must be resolved in a peaceful and civil manner. Marshalls and Operations Staff of the Golf Club are available to resolve situations. Rude, aggressive, unruly and gangster behaviours and obscene languages have no place at TAT.
- In the event that a violation of golf rules are committed, the aggrieved party must bring the case to the attention of management without delay and concerned parties must NEVER resort to any direct confrontation.
- When there is a good reason to believe that a serious breach of golf rules and golf etiquettes are committed, the Offending player shall be temporarily pulled out from the golf course to:
- Explain his side and
- Allow the situation to cool-off. Management reserves the right to allow the concerned player to continue with his/her golf play or to suspend or ban him/her from playing at TAT altogether if the situation warrants. In the event a violator is prevented from continuing his golf play, he shall be made to pay for caddie fee, green fee (applied to member, guest or visitor as the case may be) and other required fees and insurances.
I would like to declare in no uncertain terms that I will exhaust the full measure of our policies, rules and regulations, and the law to those who violate them while at TAT’s premises. We all have passion for the game of golf. We should enjoy the game! Play the course not against each other. Conquer the course, if you can.
Golf is an honour game. As the Rules of Golf says, “The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf.”
Happy Golfing!
